Litchfield National Park

Don't worry she stopped on that little ledge to jump, no higher!

Litchfield is an easy day trip from Meg and Paul's place as they live south of Darwin. We think it deserves a post all of its own because it is spectacular.

Wangi falls provided an opportunity for an amazing and not terribly long bush walk (4km)

We explored the "Lost City" which is an amazing region of bizzare rock formations. I have been lucky enough to see several real "lost cities" in Mexico and Cambodia and this strange place was eerily similar.

We were glad we allowed ourselves a couple of hours for Buley Rockhole and Florence Falls. There was a simple paved path along the 2.5km of flowing water between the two main attractions but in fact there were areas of small waterfalls and water rushing over rocks all along the river. We swam in several locations, climbing over rocky ledges and dunking ourselves under the heavy waterfall curtains.
