Lift-off acknowledgements

It turns out that packing up a family of five for a road trip adventure and a year in the tropics is a rather large task. It was sweaty, we got cranky, and it would've been near impossible without the amazing support of so many friends and family. So many of you sent food offerings, offered childcare support and gave words of encouragement but a few people gave their practical support so far beyond any obligation that we just have to thank them here...

Nick, Tuck, Evan, Pete and John gave half a day of their brute strength

Mum and Dad gave a weekend of general dogsbody work

Heather and Evan (again) stood in as parents when our departure was delayed for 24 hours

Donna is just so much more than a cleaning lady - she is our hero and friend

Corey and Thomas lent us their knowledge, time and grunt.

Thank you all.

Ed in his happy place

You know you did me the favour. Time.... Time with the kids and time watching the 6 get lost in their game for hours. Made myself a few bottles of those memories for the grey days. xxx

That beast of a vehicle looks very shiny. It's probably not going to look like that for long! XX
